ADA Accommodation

Students requiring special services or arrangements because of hearing, visual, or other disability should contact their instructor, counselor, or the Accessible Education Center.

Occupational/Vocational Students

Limited English language skills will not be a barrier to admittance to and participation in Vocational Educational Programs.

Student Honesty Policy

Students are expected to exercise academic honesty and integrity. Violations such as cheating and plagiarism will result in disciplinary action which may include recommendation for dismissal. Counseling Support: 

Professional counselors are available to assist current and prospective students in identifying, clarifying, and reaching their educational and career goals. Gavilan College counselors provide Academic, Transfer, Career, Personal, and Online counseling services. All counseling sessions are confidential.

Mental Health Support: 

Gavilan College’s partnership with Discovery Counseling Center provides enrolled students with access to therapists who are available at the Gilroy main campus to provide students with mental health support.

To be referred to Discovery counseling, students must meet with a Gavilan Counselor during a scheduled appointment or during drop-in. Gavilan students can participate in up to eight (8) free mental health sessions per semester through Discovery Counseling.
