Hello Student,

After speaking to a few students on the phone and reaching out to the Regional Water Board to verify the new State Exam layout, I wanted to create a series of Test Preparation. In prior weeks, through "State Exam Approach" series,  you were exposed to difficult test questions and multiple variety math questions. To meet the following objectives:

  • Familiarize with the equation and formula sheet that is provided by the Water Board.
  • To read test questions and be able to "list out what you are given and verify what formulas and conversions have been provided."
  • To read a test question and figure out "what exactly the question is asking for and verify that the test question has provided the necessary information to answer it."

During an exam it may not always be clear on what they are asking for is sometimes difficult and I wanted to replicate that experience. Now that you have dealt with it. During the State Exam that you only need a passing score of 70%, please consider the following:

  • If you are not sure what they are asking for or feel they need to provide more information:
  • First, take a deep breath
  • Second, skip to the next question and return to it at the end.

Remember, you practice using all the tools.

I wanted to gather your input to see if you found these "State Exam Approach" Series worthwhile. This is an Ungraded Anonymous Survey, so there is no pressure, yet I would greatly accept your input.
